Vintage and retro collector in the kitchen.

Update:  Since I began this blog I developed an interest in the props and set dressings seen on the popular “I Love Lucy” show.  As a result many of my post on this blog  focus on my own discoveries of “prop-alike” vintage finds that match items I have seen used on screen on the show and some contributions from helpful like minded collectors .

I am not an expert on original props and cannot offer any advice on authenticity of items claimed to be genuine props. The ease I have found in discovering vintage items that match screen used items seen on the show should, I hope, make it abundantly clear to the novice collector that we need reliable  provenance to substantiate a claim that an item is an original screen used prop,  a screen capture to show that the item was screen used is helpful but not usually not sufficient in itself  to prove authenticity.
